A couple of weeks ago, two things happened. After completing my certification, I started brainstorming concepts for a fictional business to design a marketing campaign. That’s when I created these ads.

As innovative and beautiful as these ads are, I have a confession to make.  The idea for the business wasn't my own.  I borrowed it from across the pond.

It all started when I wanted to get a book from one of my former professors. And this is the book, by the way!

The problem: academic books are expensive, and I got my Masters over there in the UK!  

No problem! I did some searching on Amazon and stumbled upon an incredible UK-based company that sold me this pristine, untouched book for just $3 USD. Yes, you read that right—three dollars! In fact, shipping it from the UK cost more than the book itself!

What do they do?  Let me explain in another Ad I created for my project.

What do they do?

Founded in 1998, this company carved out a unique niche. Every year, libraries—both academic and public—face the challenge of managing an overwhelming surplus of books. In the UK, when libraries need to clear out unused titles, they call AnyBook. The company arrives with vans, collects the books, and adds them to their inventory. From there, they catalog them, list them online, and market them as their own—offering academic books at unbeatable prices while ensuring these valuable resources find new homes. Plus, a portion of the profits goes back to the libraries, creating a win-win for everyone!

I know!  Amazing, right!
